Not sure why I never posted this here. This video is a short promo we did with our good friends from Lark, on how to re-wax Barbour jackets. In my opinion, Lark is one of Vancouver’s best little clothing shops. They carry a fantastic mix of heritage brands, European, Japanese, American, and local designers. Their merchandising is always incredibly charming, and the atmosphere is a breath...

Birthday Cats!
My good friends from Lark, gave me a copy of the amazing United Bamboo Cat Calendar for my birthday Yesterday…
It walks that fine line between pure kitsch, and pure genius. The amazing print-job shifts it more toward the latter.

I’ve been waiting a long time to post this video. It got hung up somewhere between the edit being finished, and the official release. It debuted while I was away travelling, so I’m only now getting the chance to start sharing it.

This has something akin to the DVNO video from SoMe/Justice, only I love that it was made by hand, using actual watercolors. It’s also got elements of the animated...

So Vík Prjónsdóttir has an incredibly charming set of products, and an even more charming story.
The video goes into it in more detail than I could hope to cover in this here little bit of text, but I will say that this is a wonderful example of how a whole company (no matter how small) can be revived by a few simple creative ideas. I love that the owner of this old knitting factory was gutsy...

Owen Pallett: “Lewis Takes Off His Shirt” - Directed by M Blash
While I like his music enough, I wouldn’t say that I’m a big fan of Owen Pallett, but this M Blash character, who’s been directing his videos recently, is starting to grow on me. I forget when and where I stumbled across his work, but I will say that it didn’t have much of an impact on me at...

The quietly brilliant photography of Christopher Taylor.
